Error code BR-CO-17
A VAT amount doesn't match its rate
Each VAT amount (BT-117) must equal its taxable amount (BT-116) times its rate (BT-119), rounded to two decimals.
The official rule
“VAT category tax amount (BT-117) = VAT category taxable amount (BT-116) x (VAT category rate (BT-119) / 100), rounded to two decimals.”
Official text, in the language the rule set publishes it in.
Fields named: BT-117 · BT-116 · BT-119
Common causes
- VAT was calculated per line and rounded, then added up, instead of on the taxable amount per rate.
- The wrong rate was used for the calculation.
